![]() ![]() So if you're going to want to take advantage of Trick Room's effects, these Pokemon will be your best choice. But unlike weather and terrain, there isn't a Pokemon that can automatically set up Trick Room. That means that the slower you are, the sooner you'll move. The move Trick Room completely reverses the turn order. Or do you? Slower Pokemon seem to have a trick up their sleeves. RELATED: Pokemon: Best Trick Room Sweepers So if you want your team to move before the others, you've gotta make like Sonic and go fast. The faster your Pokemon is, the more likely it is to move first. What's a "Geller", you ask? Not what - who! Uri Geller is a swiss magician/psychic who has made a name for himself by bending spoons.Arguably, the most important stat in competitive Pokemon is Speed. By the way, did you know that Kadabra's Japanese name is "Yungeraa"? This is a funny play on words that translates to "Evil Geller". Kadabra was originally supposed to be named Pocus (which is in line with Abra's alternate name: Hocus). According to John Ayto's "Dictionary of Word Origins," the word goes back to the third century AD and most likely comes from a cabalistic word of the Basilidians, a Gnostic sect of Alexandria, which was in turn based on the deity ABRAXAS. Origin: Kadabra derives its name from the famous "magic" charm "Abra cadabra". And remember, never send a Fighting or a Poison (or Ghost) Pokemon into battle with a Psychic. A move like Pin Missile does wonders, but any other non-Fighting moves work well, too. When battling any Psychic type, remember that their biggest weakness is to Bug Pokemon. Kadabra is also able to learn Dig, Seismic Toss and Thunder Wave from TMs, if you're looking for something "un-Psychic". But the best thing about Kadabra is its lineup of naturally-learned attacks: Teleport is worthless, but Confusion, Psybeam, Recover and Psychic are all very useful. Kadabra's great Speed and Special stats make it an ideal choice for a "first strike" Pokemon. Attack and Defense stats are still pretty low (especially when compared to other evolved Pokemon), but Psychics aren't about raw muscle power anyway. Abra is a bit on the weak side, but Kadabra already makes up for many of the shortcomings of its predecessor. Tips: If you're looking for a great Psychic type that's not Mew or Mewtwo, then Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam are definitely the right choice. If you don't have the time to level up Abra, look for Kadabra on Route 8 in Pokemon Yellow. This way, you can be sure that your stats will be the best around. Locations: The best (and easiest) way to get Kadabra is to evolve it from an Abra. For example, it makes clocks run backwards. Many odd things happen if this Pokémon is close by. ![]()
